The Sandy Watercolor Guild will meet on Thursday, February 20th at 6:30 PM.
Suzan and I have taken three days of Lian Quan Zhen's workshop and we want to share what we learned with you. "Mixing pigments on the palette then applying a common watercolor technique, can lead to muddy results when over mixed. By allowing the colors to mix directly on the paper you can create beautiful, unintentional results."
Do you have any little containers, like individual plastic apple sauce cups? Bring 3 clean ones plus tubes of the primary colors: a yellow, blue and a red, plus your usual paint supplies. Please bring an apron and a spray bottle as well, as we're splashing paint again.
It's no wonder that the yearly book of the best watercolors is called "Splash". Let's get some beautiful paint quality! See you there! Maggie
