Things Change; Time and People Move On

We are sad to say goodbye to Cynthia Powell who has brought such energy, vision and direction to the SWG. We wish you well on your new journey, Cindy. I hope you'll keep in touch! Good luck in your new art scene.

Coming up:
       ***Third Thursday, 6pm-8pm, Oct 13. Nancy Lund will demonstrate watercolor collage. We will then be treated in November to an all-day workshop on this fun and creative expression with her. $45 for members, $65 for non-members. Payment can be sent payable to Sandy Senior Center (SSC) in care of Karla Nye, SWG, or dropped off at the center.

       ***Virginia Kimball will lead us in creating new Christmas cards and memories Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Sandy Senior Center 9:00-3:30. Bring your gear, including cardstock, scraps, glitter, calendars, old cards, any fun additions you want to use or share. $45 for members.

Mondays the SWG meets in the downstairs studio at the SSC 1:00-3:30 for painting, sharing ideas, sharing skills. New members are always welcome. Free

Tutorial Thursdays: 1:00-3:30 in the Café at SSC. We watch video tutorials and paint along. This week Oct 13 we will be using Bev Jozwiak's tutorials for loose textures, eye-grabbing color choice  and interesting backgrounds, painting children. If you wish, make a similar sketch and we will paint along with Bev to liven up our paintings.  Coming up we will take on Bev's painting of a giraffe mother and her baby. Members and guests are welcome. Free.
