Van Gogh and John Fackrell this week

There are a couple of seats remaining for John Fackrell's class on Saturday, so you haven't missed it yet.  He always provides a great deal of technical instruction, practice and fun as well as a finished product at the end of the day. He'll have us sketching early on, and then we'll do a still-life. This is an intermediate-level class. You should have a fundamental understanding of watercolors, papers and brushes.
If peppers (John's suggestion) isn't your thing, bring what does spark joy and John is sure to give you guidance. He's just like that, a good teacher and nice guy.
See you at SSC Saturday, Jan. 19. Doors open 9 a.m., set up and begin by 9:30. Lunch break, clean up at 3:30. Shared snacks are always nice. Soft drinks and water are available. Make checks payable to SANDY SENIOR CENTER: $45 for members (memberships available $25/year which gives you a discount for all other classes) $70 for non-members.

AND here is another fabulous link from Open Culture: Van Gogh's Japanese art print collection, which inspired his later works in Arles, full of color and simplicity:: https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/japanese-prints?v=1
