Here's an offer we shouldn't refuse: In the wake of Cindy Baldassin's amazing presentation last week on 'composition, composition, composition,' Virginia and I have put our heads together and we plan to have a workshop day when we put all of that information into practice, and archive it. Since practice is the best way to learn and remember, attendees will each make our own "Notes on Composition" workbook, using examples from fine art, or from your own collection of photos you'd like to paint. (Come on, admit it; we all have that collection. :D) Details and dates to come, but be watching for small prints of paintings that interest you; copy, photo or "clip" them,  and we'll have a day when we identify composition strategies in our favorite clippings, make a quick note page about each, and when we're done, we'll each have a book of composition strategies which may help make the difference between a good painting and a great one! More later!
