Here is Gwen's post for Friday's new project! She will work from the photo above, and wants you to know a few suggestions as well:

I have only a few specific instructions for needed materials, etc. It should be noted that this is a “busy” reference, requiring good paper (at least 140 lb cold press), and about 11 X 14”.  Any smaller would just not work here, I don’t think.  I’ve been a broken record about the importance of quality paper being ever-so-helpful in obtaining a good result! And they should also print out this reference and sketch it before hand. There may be those in class who will be ready to start the project THIS Friday, if they finish the current painting in progress.  I will finish mine along with them. This new subject will most likely take us into at lest the last class in October — the 27th — as well as into the November class on the 3rd.  November will only have one class, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. December’s schedule will be forthcoming.

From Karla again: Gwen's comment on "good paper" means 200lb Waterford or 300 pound Arches, Fabriano or other good product. Steer away from Strathmore. Caslon is okay, but not optimal. It is Arches' student grade paper. Have fun, kids. I'm sorry I'll miss this one.
