This comes under the heading of "Can't you people read my MIND?" It's been pointed out that I didn't include days/times for John's series. It will be a series of 4 classes, the first four Thursdays in September: 7th, 14th,21st, 28th. 1:00-3:30 at SSC. Prices below.

COMING UP!  Time to reserve your seat. This is going to be a fun one:
I have just talked with John Fackrell, and I am so excited to announce his plans for our September series: SUNFLOWERS!
John is fresh off his trip to Europe, absorbing plenty of art along the way. His motto is "paint the season you're in" and so this seems like a natural. He'll bring reference photos for everyone and he will discuss how to use a grid to set up your drawing. It seems we'll be working through some of the lessons he's developed on Impressionism, which I think will be really beneficial and especially fun considering the subject.
We'll be working on cold press paper. John will be using 300 Or 200 pound paper, half sheet or 15x15 size.
In addition: John suggests that we obtain the following pigments:
 New Gamboge

Winsor Yellow
Cobalt Violet (some of us bought that for John's class last year. It's the perfect complement to the yellows.)

and especially *Cobalt Turquoise Light. If there is interest, I'll make a special order. You can contact me. (see below)
Also: John suggests that we might like Orange Lake by Maimeri Blu.
I could also have these pigments for sale as 1/2 tubes or 1/3 tubes if anyone is interested in that concept. Again, contact Karla if you want to share pigment costs. I'll be ordering this weekend Aug 5  to be sure we have them for the class.
Seating for this class will be limited, and there are 8 openings remaining, so don't delay:
Member prices: $45 for the 4-class series, $65 for non-members. Payment should be made to SANDY SENIOR CENTER, and can be mailed c/o Karla Nye, SWG at the center: 9310 So. 1300 East Sandy Utah 84094-3175
or at 8751 Oakwood Park Cir Sandy Ut 84094
Or hand it to me at class on Mondays: 1:00-3:30.
Thanks! See you soon.
